"My love and knowledge of distance running has come from years of personal experience and dedication. I was blessed to be on high school teams that took home state championship titles twice between XC and T&F. Individually, I had multiple all-state performances and a total of eight individual state champion titles between XC and T&F in the state of Wyoming. I was also awarded the Gatorade Wyoming Female Runner of the Year award for two consecutive seasons, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.
I went on to run collegiately for five years for a NCAA Division 1 school in Utah, Weber State University. I was on a team that won two conference championship titles. I achieved all-conference honors in XC four times, and achieved all-conference honors in T&F six times. I was the 2016 Big Sky Conference 10k champion and stuck my nose in many national-level meets, including a 64th place finish at the NCAA National Championships in XC. I was consistently a top performer on my team in addition to earning Big-Sky All-Academic Honors multiple times, giving strict attention to my education through the course of it all.
As a retired NCAA athlete, I maintain many of the fitness habits I picked up along my running journey and remain a healthy and competitive athlete. All that to say, I could not do any of the things I have done or continue to do without a deep-rooted love and respect for distance running and the discipline, dedication, and intrinsic grit it can teach. And I love working with youth to provide those opportunities for them to see it for themselves! Passion is what led to my personal success as an athlete, and passion is what guides my coaching philosophy with any youth I am blessed to work with."
